OK, i was going through the masses of undead outside of bergan hot springs yesterday and i killed that pair of hellhounds. One of them dropped gold and one of them dropped nothing at all.

I thought i would keep an eye on the hellhounds from then on.

Today i was doing the kryta mission for fun and i killed another pair of hellhounds (at the first poison swamp) and again, one of them dropped nothing while the other dropped gold.

I kill ALOT of undead and hellhounds and i take great care in checking my loot...as all us farmers do, lol.

Out of all the hounds i kill daily, one dodgy pair a day is rather insignificant in comparison but i just thought i would give the "heads-up"

to whomever reads this and ask if anyone has also noticed this "glitch", as small as it is ? <

EDIT - OMG! I just continued on my mission and went into a small enclosed passage to kill some more undead and the same thing happened to the next pair of hellhounds...how ironic in the fact i say "once a day" and it happens twice in succession.

Glitch alert.

Ummm...why is that a glitch? It is very often that a monster will not drop something. Drops are random, meaning that you will get random -nodrop- from a monster.

Not really a Glitch, but I did notice something when I was out hunting near Yaks Bend.
It was just me and the Healer and I wasn't really Farming, just finishing off a quest. However, there were a lot of Shiverpeak Riders there, and it was like nothing was dropping at all. I would get almost 1 in every 4 or 5 mobs either a gold or item drop. This didn't appear to happen before the update, so not sure if something with there Drop system has been affected.

Anyone, just my 2 cents.

try taking a real healer instead of the bot healer, I bet you learn the henchman is stealling your drops

I believe every monster will ALWAYS drop something, however if you're taking henchmen, they will eat up the drops so it'll seem like the monsters are not dropping anything.

Personally i always try to hunt alone.
On these occasions i was in nebo terrace and the kryta mission.

Not true. Killed several White Mantle solo yesterday that didn't drop anything.

If you are travelling with other players, there are a lot of drops, in gold and in items, however, I can't see that just me and Henchy Healer and hardly getting anything at all is a good thing. EIther that, or she is one damn good thief and knicks the stuff before the Mob has a chance to drop it.

I can understand it with me and 5 henchies and the henchies acting as other players and the loot is being shared, but I've never had it where I didn't get next to nothing on a regular basis??

Oh, and this was close to Yak's Bend or one of the snow areas near there. Can't remember at the moment and not currently in the Game. Lets just say there are a lot of SHiverpeak around.

There is absolutly no reason for personal attacks Garric. So what if one spot is fixed, another spot will be found. No reason to call people idiots.

Do you really think Anet can't find out where are the farming spots are just because we try and not *talk* about them. Here's another bad news for you, just by looking at where people go in solo and repeat several times the same road and patern, they can figure it out pretty fast by themselves. I've seen farming spots *balanced* that were as far as I can tell were never discussed on forums.

As for drops, as mentioned aboce, yes henches do take drops and Anet as made so you don't see the henchmens drops, simply to avoid the frustration of seeing a purple or gold item picked up Stephan or any other hench.
